"Drawing and painting are among my earliest memories. The first half of my life I concentrated
on landscape, animals and people for subject matter. Out of college, I spent ten years as a
computer graphics illustrator/designer with little time to spend on conventional painting.
Still life painting in watercolor became my focus when my son was born and I found unlimited
potential in a world I had rarely studied in the varying light of day – my home. Rocking my
sleeping newborn son, the artful arrangement of collected glassware, china and silver began
to unfold. In the stillness of that juncture, I became the unwitting audience to such scenes
as the afternoon sunlight streaming into a window to enhance a beautifully spontaneous arrangement
of glassware on a tabletop. The peaceful tranquility of those moments is still reflected in my
work and mindset today. "
