"The great potential of this world can be found, as William Blake put it, “in a grain of sand”, or in my case, a starlight mint. The inherent poetry and ethereal nature of ordinary objects fascinates me and I consistently paint to reveal the magic in the mundane. I paint flowers and vegetables that I have grown as well as toys and decorative pieces that I have inherited, thus my works are intrinsically personal and convey a sense of emotional resonance. I find it a blessing to be able to focus on and appreciate the splendor of the simpler things in life that embody the immense spirit of the wide world around us. "
